I had this idea to do this for many months–since I saw a beautiful purple hydrangea in this silver antiquish pot. It was in a queer little shop on Montana. It was tiny and pricey for a flower but I had to have it. The man assured me it would last a week, but it pretty much died the next day. Still the silver thing was left–just needed to find another purple hydrangea. I like the simplicity of the silver against the complexity of the flower.
Hi Carol, It’s great to have a window into your creative process. Your paintings always make my heart smile. Looking forward to your Hydrangea painting – they always remind me of a sweet vacation spent on Nantucket.
That’s poetic, Linda. I’ve never been to Nantucket. Okay, it’s up now, hope you enjoy the new images.
