Hydrangea in Blue Bottle

Posted on March 10, 2011 by Carol Steinberg

Another crack at getting those light warm purples–a challenge in oil as anyone who has tried it would know.  I should try it in acrylic!

I saw what appeared to be a homeless guy on Venice beach today.  He was coloring on a pad with a stash of craypas in his bag.  From the distance I chose to stay at–mostly not to disturb his process–it looked like a fleur de lis. Incongrous.  Anyway, that’s dedication!
