Day 15

Carnation Creamer, oil, 6 x 6

I guess when you paint everyday, you start to have some themes happening–like red, white and blue…and carnations (they’re holding up pretty well).  For me though, this painting is more about the abstract shapes and their juxtaposition–sort of like a bunch of  shades of blue puzzle pieces with a few red ones (and a few yellow green ones) thrown in.  I shouldn’t answer the phone when I’m painting.

What a lovely painting I like the abstract look of it. I can’t paint or draw but I can scrapbook with the best of them 🙂 It’s nice to see another creative person in the UBC

Yes, Beth, somehow most creatives are not showing up in these business building classes. Nice to meet you.

Carol, a stunning painting! It gives me the feeling of daydreaming. I love the splash of red amongst the blues. – Maggie

Carol, it’s my kind of look. I am drawn to the green apple or vase peeking from behind the flowers. The combination of blues and funky shading make me smile!

It’s an apple–a fake apple. Not sure what you mean by funky but if it makes you smile, that’s a good thing!
