Yellow Pom Poms 1, oil, 8 x 6 $125

I felt like I didn’t have time to paint today, but I did it anyway, and I like this sketch–I was pleased as I finished it, until it fell into the palette and wound up with big globs of unintentional paint on it, but I was able to remove them and get it back to more or less where it was before that.

Thanks, Kelly–I’m glad you see the simplicity of it…that’s what I liked too. Your site seems to be down…

This is a sweet little painting! I also hate when I bump the easel and the painting takes a nose dive into the palette….lol Good save!

Carol, I love this one. Usually I’m so impressed by your reds, but this “red-less” painting is strong and lovely.

Thank you, Cindy! Yes, it was refreshingly un-red, until I dropped it on the palette, at which point it had large globs of red, orange and alizarin. There’s still more of a trace there then before the “event”–thanks for the love.

Glad you managed to save it! Nice painting! I did the same and dropped mine on the studio floor, fluff, dog hair etc…..

Ugh, hate when stuff like that happens! I love your painting. I wish I had the ability to paint and draw freehand style, but I wasn’t blessed with the gift.

    Luckily others were. 🙂

It’s something that you can learn how to do.
