Shallots, New Potatoes, oil, 5 x 7

This wound up being a more traditional “light against dark” kind of painting than I usually do, but I’m happy with it, even though it’s tiny and took hours and hours to do.

Bert pointed out that the elements look like characters…maybe like 2 Romeos serenading 2 Juliets on the balcony?

Here is a photo from the opening last night.  The gallery director creates very visually appealing sets to showcase the art.

    Those paintings look awesome, and i think having the fruit basket and book that has a matching color scheme really helps to capture your attention!
