As I said, my plan is to go to 40–that is, 40 paintings in 40 days. It would be a relief to stop at 30, but…we’ll see. This is my bed, unmade…as usual. I’m trying to see my apartment as worthy of painting–it’s kind of a stretch…but maybe painting it will get me to see it with new eyes.
Below is a collage of the 30 Day Challenge paintings:
Wonderful collection. 40/40 – I love it! You go girl!
Thanks, Sandy!
I love your strategy to see something as “worth painting”. It is compelling isn’t it to realize how much fills our visual space that we just skim by? When we really “see” our surroundings it can be a wonderful moment. I believe it was Wayne Dyer that said- “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” Love your perspective.
Thanks again, Kathi.
I like the bedroom painting and the views best, but they are all lush.!
I ike that you are keeping on painting, me too but maybe not every day!
Glad you like this new direction. I’m doing this as a spiritual discipline. It will be a relief to have a break and get to work on all the stuff that’s been pushed on a backburner. My art was there for too long though so here we are.
Your collage looks great, Carol, and I love this painting of the bedroom. The unmade bed makes for a very soft and interesting painting.
