Catherine brought tomatoes and peppers and mint and chard…and the bouquet.  We’ve eaten most of it but I was going to paint the tomatoes and peppers and then just couldn’t resist doing the bouquet again so I increased the size to enable me to fit it all in–and threw in a bottle of olive oil from the Ojai farmers’ market.  8 x 8 feels large compared to 6 x 6.  It’s all relative, huh?

Hi Carol, I like your painting and the mix of colors you have used. I wished you would give the painting a bit more story. Who is Cathrine and why did you meet up in the first place. What is it you like about Cathrine and did this influence your painting? Facts sell but stories tell 🙂 Keep the good things up. Sending lots of positive vibes from Down Under. Cheers, Sonja

I had mentioned these things in earlier posts…I love C’s generosity and inner and outer beauty and talent. But that isn’t necessarily what the painting is about. I actually think painting can be a place to leave “story” behind.
