Roses Day 8, oil, 10 x 8, $250
Took the weekend off to celebrate 5 years with Bert! We went to see “Enough Said” which was terrific. The funniest part was there was a scene where they show them going to the movies–at the Laemmle on 2nd…which is where we were watching it and the whole audience cracked up.
Anyway, a race against time with these roses…I thought I’d go bigger for a change…it’s funny what you get used to…this size used to seem way too small to even deal with to me. I shot it so you can see the impasto…I always loved impasto but for some reason it’s only lately that I’ve managed to really achieve it.
