Summer’s End Bouquet

Summer’s End Bouquet, oil, 10 x 8

I hesitated buying these flowers–they actually came in 3 straggly $2 bunches.  It was a last minute purchase before I headed into the parking structure by the Santa Monica farmers market.  The end of summer is sort of a sad sweet time…still summer and yet….fleeting like the life of cut flowers.  I got 4 paintings I’m excited about out of this bunch.  I maybe could get more, but there’s a reason I’ll be changing directions now and I’ll let you know why soon, after I post these.

I am enjoying the thicker paint and the colors of the flowers and the feel of the water with which they are placed. Can’t wait to see what is coming up!
