This was an adventure. I would never have gone to the LA County Fair on my own, but given free parking and entry….well, still ambivalent, although I did have a lot of fun painting this, after I got over the fact that we’d arrived so late I would have to paint as fast as possible before sunset. I was happy that I managed to pull this off. It is hanging in the Millard Sheets Art Center until I pick it up on 9/27, if it doesn’t sell there. Went back during the day for the reception and it was just way too hot to be very enjoyable…so in the end, arriving late, which I’d been so upset about, was actually the right timing after all…the temperature was more bearable and the lighting was more interesting. And afterwards we headed to Big Bear for our first time ever. Painting from there coming up.
