This was the second painting I did at the PACE17–even though I’d gotten up at 5 am, been very active all day, and this was painted around 5 pm in the park at Old Town. Some Asian tourists seemed very interested in appearing in photos with me. They’d kind of sneak up and try to be discreet. It was quite amusing. Not sure why they picked me when there were so many others to choose from.
This was the first painting I did on Tuesday night at the PACE 17. The views were stunning if inspiring, perhaps, overly ambitious paintings. I was surprised by how much I managed to get in to this piece.
I painted this a month ago, but somehow forgot to post it on the blog. These exotic protea are sold at the farmers market and I got the fruit there too. This is a size I used to paint all the time, but have not been using lately.
