The third in this series–this is from a week and a half ago. The next one is indoors.
This is the second of the series I’m working on with these white hydrangea.
This is the first in a series. I’ve already done 2 more…and hope to do many more…but we’ll see. May try it indoors as well.
This was actually done over an older painting that I’d had lying around for years…so I wasn’t expecting much, and of course, it seems to have turned out better because of that.
Another little study from the holiday. More paintings on the way! (I did a gouache of this first.)
This was done during the July 4th long weekend….a quick sketch made while the sun was close to setting–of the view I have been seeing for over 20 years–of course, ever changing. I did a watercolor first and then jumped into this. I did another one the following day, soon to be posted.
Here is the painting from last week. I didn’t go to the farmers market this week because the whole July 4 thing threw me off…and I had a hell meeting scheduled for yesterday that I guess I was gearing up for. I painted the view out my window, in watercolor, gouache, and oil. I will probably post those next. I did not intend the red, white and blue effect here…
This is from the week before. I did a similar themed one this week which I hope to post soon. This is larger and more ambitious than I’ve been up to lately…and more spatial…because there was room. Of course it takes somewhat longer too. I used to work larger than this all the time…Sigh.
