Yesterday’s painting in oil. Actually I spent today in synagogue…and I’m exhausted. I’ll have to play catch up tomorrow. Also, sorry I was unable to respond to comments nor visit others. More catching up.
Here’s a fun treat. I found this painting from 15 or 20 years ago. It’s of the same house–but it had weird shaped bushes at that time–I kind of wish it still did. Oh well, everything changes…and sometimes that’s a good thing.
I am really partial to oils! This is really great! Gmar Hatima Tova!
Thank you, Carol–and you too!
I like the use of texture on this piece. Bright colours also work really well.
Thank you, Kasia!
First, G’mar Tov…second, love the oil version of the little house, the gorgeous shading of the porch and feel of the lines in the street and sidewalk. Nice to find a bit of painting past, certainly the best kind of “photograph” of what you were doing, where you were in your mind at that time…I like very much the lighting on top of the bushes of the past
Thanks for the wishes and visit, Laurelle! And for finding something to like about my old work. I like to think I’ve improved quite a bit since then.
Love both of these! I love small houses like these. This looks exactly like one near where I lived with my husband. We were in a tiny house that they split into two apartments at the time. And my white house was my “dream house”. LOL. Love the light and moods in each of these 🙂
