This was on my table for a while and I really thought it would be fun to paint and it was. I like the white and cream and grays and gray greens.
So this is the demo painting from last night. Notice the title…a lot to say about that…but what happened was: I forgot my paint supplies! Yes, I brought the set up, lights, extension cords, easel, palette, etc. but I left my painting bag in my studio after carefully checking off that all my stuff was in it. So I drive 2 hours in Friday West LA traffic (1 hour to go the first 5 miles and then another for the next 35) and realize as we’re unloading the awful truth. Amazingly, there was a woman there who said she lived nearby and offered to get her paints, brushes, turps–how incredibly generous! I figured there was no hope of me doing a decent painting with her much cheaper supplies, but you know, either that freed me up or cheaper supplies don’t matter as much as I thought they did, or both! I’ve been worrying about finances and had heard Michael Beckwith on Hay House telling a caller in a similar situation to keep repeating “All my needs are met”–and so they are!
