I painted this about a week ago–after a hiatus of not painting…and the longest, hardest winter in memory. So there are little signs of hope and Spring starting to appear and hence the title. Carnations are so nice…and the bouquet is still paint worthy…but unfortunately I have other pressing things. I will be painting at the beach the next couple of days, so that is even better.

It’s my birthday, and I have to work tonight–last class/final…and I was going to go to yoga, but decided to paint this farmer’s market bouquet instead. I used a pink cloth to cover the porch railing. I’m really going for the feel of the sunlight…If you like it, for my birthday, please like my FB page: Carol Steinberg Studio. Thanks!

(My trip threw my blogging off so I’m going to add these and then correct the date after the images get set up on another site. ) This was a painting I did for the Glendale Art Association as a demo. I remembered my paints and everything…They were such a sweet group. Here’s my set up at the demo.
