This was actually done over an older painting that I’d had lying around for years…so I wasn’t expecting much, and of course, it seems to have turned out better because of that.
This is from a few weeks ago, when I was once again, a demo artist for the Beverly Hills Art Show. I picked up this cute bouquet, put it in a mug, and set it up on a table in the park. What you don’t hear are the figs from the fig tree overhead that were intermittently pelting everything and everyone in the vicinity. Behind the set up were the gardens with bright yellow foliage, which I later glazed down to control the focal point. I was going to do another one, but the light moved before I could.
This is my second crack at that cheap bouquet. Two more to go…and then, we’ll see. Oh, and BTW, just got back from Vegas…and what happens in Vegas, will NOT stay in Vegas! Stay tuned.
Third in this series.
This pretty bouquet just kind of paints itself. I just love these small bouquets.
This one was just inspired and easy…so easy I kept going when I coulda/shoulda quit, but managed to stop myself before doing much damage.
This didn’t start out to be a close up, but I think it’s okay that it turned out that way.
