Wow, finally done! So thankful I could do it this time…January just proved too difficult. Feel like a phoenix rising from the ashes. Next to clean up my space and meditate on what’s next. Wish I could keep this pace up, but I definitely need some down time…it’s just going to be a question, as always, of how much.

Don’t ask how I came up with this title. Anyway, it was a fun exercise. I wish I’d done more of these when I was younger. Does that make any sense?

This is from the week before. I did a similar themed one this week which I hope to post soon. This is larger and more ambitious than I’ve been up to lately…and more spatial…because there was room. Of course it takes somewhat longer too. I used to work larger than this all the time…Sigh.

A relatively ambitious piece…Using the zinnia bouquet from the day before and a sheet of paper I bought quite a while back.
Posey in Kettle, Periwinkle Silk, oil, 8 x 8, $325
I got up early to do this…Took the flowers out of the kettle and used a high sheen satin that was kind of a purplish blue. I’m not sure what I’ll do tomorrow…but I think if I do paint flowers, I’ll have to get a new bunch!

It’s raining out so I set this up on the kitchen table. These guys were next to each other at the grocery store and I felt inspired by them, so here they are.

From last Thursday. So much has changed since then. These roses have all moved on. But their beauty moved me while they were here. Look for my work on One King’s Lane in a week or so. Exciting!
