Today was the last day of my show at Copperwood Artware–technically–but they’re going to extend it by one week…if you feel like seeing it…Today a group from the SCWCA drove down to visit the show…I loved all the comments of the group. I was late, the GPS sent me on half a dozen different freeways: 10, 60, 710, 91,605, 5 and I thought I might be driving all that way for nothing because they would leave before I arrived…but no, they were there, patiently waiting…we also went to the studio of another OC artist…and then I drove home before the group museum visit, knowing I wanted to try to get my painting #22 in 22 days in…I knew it would have to be a quick deal but since surrendering to this process, I have found I do some pretty cool stuff when I’m least in the mood…at least until I start. This one is pretty wild, but it’s my view of my view. There is a beautiful red leafed tree across the way that is burning against the white upper portion of the house it sits in front of. The tops of the green trees are lit up by the late afternoon sun. I used a lot of knife on this one.
