I must say I got such a great response to yesterday’s painting that I couldn’t resist trying it again…although I did re-arrange the stuff. When I settled on this, it occurred to me that it appeared as though the two tomatoes in the middle were getting married and the flowers were like the chuppah (Jewish wedding canopy). The other veggies are the “dearly beloved gathered here today.” I guess I’ve seen too much animation lately. We went to see “Turbo” and even in a film where snails speak English, the tomatoes had nothing to say.
It took a special trip to pick up the flowers…another great bouquet from Catherine’s garden…and the first bouquet still had me interested so I threw in some of the tomatoes from her garden and decided to go big. The light moved as fast as ever but I managed to pull it off! Love all the different colors, shapes and directions…and the light.
